  • about the blogger

Sunday, October 19, 2008 by Sudhir MD

hi, iam sudhir md and i live and work in mumbai, india.

i am responsible for the online footprint of siemens in india. since graduating in 1998, i have been with siemens in different buildings, departments, groups, and countries. over the past decade i have worked in various communication functions from marketing communications to internal communications, besides a bit of flirting with public relations.

though i have been associated with online media from the days when websites were black screens, green cursors and system fonts, its only in the past few years that i have started inhaling and exhaling the web.

while not working, i do stuff like write my personal blog (confidential!), indulge in ‘extreme’ travelling, read irvine welsh, chuck palahniuk, the likes and play badminton. a slave to music, i listen to alternative music (strangely, now mainstream music) like the killers, radiohead, and stereophonics.

the siemens india blog is my newest ‘extreme’ corporate quest and appreciate your being here.

It’s Siemens’ maiden flight into the cyberspace. Though we’ve got a long way to go from here…from the looks of our ‘Pilot’ in the picture down there, all i can say is ‘There’s no turning Back’.

Lets make this blog bigger, better and bolder

    Kudos Mate!

It is definitely a good forum as long as it is not misused/abused. Hope everyone uses this for Siemens and its family benefit.

    A great start…

Appreciate this effort. Getting on a “not-so-formal” footing to share interact and reachout is not only interesting but also necessary with our mature organization getting younger. Lets hope we use it well and make it a grand success. Blog.siemens….Wish you good luck.

This is fantastic!! This is a Platform where people can forget boundaries and discuss matters concerning them across with Siemens world and find solutions by collaborating effectively.

    Good Start !!

Kudos on the formation of this blog.
I am sure this is the beginning towards a lot of creative & constructive interactions leading to better transperancy with not only our investors, customers and analysts but to a large extent with youngsters yearning to learn more about the technological expertise, the products & facilities at the House of Siemens. Let us take this ahead full steam ... & as I believe a task well begun is half the job done.

    Hello Sudhir,
Congrats to you and to the Corp. Comm. team for coming up with this bight idea. Even though blogs these days are supposed to be the ‘in-thing’ and from Corp. Houses to Bollywood Stars every one is boasting one, I trust this is very important from the Siemens’s point of view. Since we are not generally known as a company that shouts its every initiative from the roof-top, this forum I’m sure would provide a good brainstorming platform to people seriously looking for answers related to some of the bigger questions the world faces on Industry, Energy and Healthcare front…At the same time, this initiative of connecting to the masses for a productive cause would surely help us reaching out to our prospective employees in campuses and other offices as well…
We only need to find ways and means to promote the visibility of the blog among the target netizens. May be our corp. promotional stationeries / T-shirts etc could be used as the initial tools to promote the brand-visibility of the blog. I am sure more and brighter ideas would followfrom others as well..
    Keep up the good work.

I have been writing blogs related to technical writing and general english writing aspects in our Global Blog site https://blogs.eps.siemens.com/sebs/

I was looking forward for this siemens india blog site, now its there. These blogs helps us to share, exchange ideas, information, thinking and drives a knowledge force to establish a strong knowledge management group within siemens. Do we have any placeholders here for blog category? With increase in number of comments or responses, it becomes difficult to track blogs over a period of time. It is good to have certain blog groups/categories in this blog site. Look forward to exchange and gather lot of great stuff and knowledge information through this blog. Thanks for the support.

SIEMENS India Blog will definitely be a good reflective mirror between SIEMENS and outside world. In time to come, I hope to see it turn into a look-up as the strong knowledge-base that will help, build and make us grow into a better contributor to the different avenues inside SIEMENS.

Much Thanks for bringing this up.

    Mr.Sudhir,

Since you have mentioned clearly” this is not the forum to address personal customer service issues” I request you to give me the telephone numbers of the Customer Care Head at Mumbai to resolve my servicing of replacement of ” Model Control ” which is overdue by more than a month. I am a customer from Hyderabad waiting for the part to be replaced to arrive from Mumbai ,
