Another interesting session today about how Tecnomatix optimizes material flow with Plant Simulation. Plant Simulation is part of the Plant Design and Optimization solution.
Matthias Heinicke provided an overview of the great capabilities of Plant Simulation and talked about several customer use cases. Even experienced production managers which know there production lines by heart were impressed by the additional optimization results which Plant Simulation revealed.
Plant Simulation is a general material flow simulation tool which can be used in all industries from automotive, shipyards, aerospace to high-tech and CPG. Also one of the hospitals in Vienna (Austria) is using Plant Simulation.
A quite new and interesting capability is the interface between Plant Simulation and Teamcenter. It allows you to log in to Teamcenter directly out of Plant Simulation and import a pre-defined context which allows focusing only on the required data.
If you want to learn more about this solution please visit the Plant Design and Optimization home page.
