Ken Tardif, engineering supervisor (and part time CAD administrator) from Hardigg Industries spoke this afternoon about their early experiences using Solid Edge with Synchronous Technology. They have 31 seats of Solid Edge and were originally an AutoCAD 2D only house. Working for the company, I forget that our customers have only had the software in their hands for 6 weeks.  For Ken and his company, they found themselves consistently constrained by resources along with multiple CAD systems, so the idea of moving to Solid Edge with Synchronous Technology bodes well for helping him solve challenges in four specific areas:

• Reuse of existing CAD data
• Editing of non-native CAD files
• Low learning curve for new 3D users
• Ease of performing engineering changes

It is always interesting to know why a customer would adopt technology sooner rather than later. Ken Versprille from CPDA asked Ken where he first learned about Synchronous Technology.

I received an email from Siemens and then saw the demos online and thought, OH, this (synchronous technology) could be useful.
