Who knew that creating a new spray bottle was so complicated! John Manderfield of Consolidated Container Company presented a case study of a trigger spray bottle design project at Siemens PLM Europe 2008 .
He shared some of the challenges on a project to develop two different sized trigger spray bottles to fit into the same box. The POP (Package Optimization Program) analyzes the dimensions of the shapes, and optimizes them for shipping purposes.
By changing the parameters in NX, they were able to come up with an optimal solution.
John was kind enough to share his presentation below.
