We're still listening and writing away from 2008 Siemens PLM Connection on Day 3. I was up early this morning and had a chance to sit down and speak with Nathan Emler from Ariel Corporation (Mount Vernon, OH). We spoke briefly about their use of Solid Edge, specifically with castings. They design and manufacture gas compression equipment. Ariel first began with AutoCAD, moved to Mechanical Desktop and about two to three years ago, moved to Solid Edge. They currently have their own, home-grown PDM system, so it was no surprise that I found Nathan sitting in the room with Gary Lindsay. Gary spent last evening with his kids at Disney and his daughter made him wear the Pirates of the Caribbean hat to today's session. We are in Orlando. Just kidding. Gary was all business this morning and provided an update to the Solid Edge Embedded Client. If you are not a user, or new to Solid Edge, you may or may not hear about SEEC. In fact, we hope you never really see SEEC since the objective is to be a completely transparent integration, a link between Solid Edge and Teamcenter or Teamcenter Express.
Important "what's new" items from Solid Edge Embedded Client:
BTW - there is a new Solid Edge with Synchronous Technology White Paper from Technicom available on the web. I have been told this read is filled with "meat and potatoes".
